Quick Facts

  • Monday – Friday 7 am – 3 pm/6 pm with weekend surgical call 1:4-6
  • 70% inpatient first assisting in OR, 30% floor work/ICU, no clinic
  • Hospital setting
  • 1100 cases annually
  • First assist in heart transplants, VADS, thoracic MAZE procedures
  • Manage post-operative care in ICU and step-down unit
  • Average surgery length 1.5 hours, standard cases 2 – 2.5 hours
  • 99% standard procedures, no robotic surgery
