Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4:30/5 pm — call required
35 – 50 surgical cases per day
1 – 6 cytologies per day — FNAs, BALs, body fluids, sputums, brushings
No cytotechnologist on staff to screen
Digital pathology — surgical cases read on computer
Frozen sections required — pathologist must cut independently after 3 pm
Occasional frozen sections — bone marrows sent out, no paps
